One Way Rocketry Introduces High-Speed-Deployment Recovery Parachutes

One Way Rocketry has released the design of its new line of recovery parachutes, capable of high-speed deployment.

The heavier nylon used in the design for both the fabric and the lines means more volume is required for stowage. This larger required packing volume equates to higher strength in the design, and allows deployment at terminal velocities less than the speed of sound.

The G-forces the HSRP parachute deployment can withstand should approach those that can destroy Solid State Drives. The HSRP makes a good pilot chute for near-space payloads, or for smaller payloads from extreme altitudes, such as those achieved by weather balloons.
